Why did I chose a soldier?

Share
Kiss me
My life is so fascinating right now I feel like in a soap opera >.<.

My ex-boyfriend got himself a girl, but I would be happier if the girl haven't slept with half of the guys of my roleplaying association... I mean, he could REALLY get better. I know it's is life, but I still think he could have chosen a nice and pretty girl who haven't slept with his friends!

Personnally I don't want to get into another relationship. I'm tired of routine, discussions about problems in the couple and plans for the future involving a family >.< I never liked those things and when I was in couple, I felt emprisonned. I need someone less... serious, I guess ^^ (I knew Gemini and Taurus couldn't go along well...).
Right now I'm waiting for my "chick" (haha that's funny to use this word for a guy) to come back from his military training. I've seen him during his week-end off, one week and three days ago. I like him a lot and I think he likes me too but since the two of us run away from comittement like plague, it's just flirting. I like this situation, but since he's gone for 3 more weeks, I just feel completely alone. I don't want to look at him as a prince, but it's hard to do when you see yourself as a princess XD.
So I'm waiting for my soldier to come back, like in war movies. I love war movies :D I should listen 40's music for the mood.

I went to Ottawa in Lolita with my friend (which I'll call VK Girl) and I bought for 50$ of guipure ^^. This thing is freaking exensive, but it was the same lace Antique beasT uses from time-to-time, but in BLACK!!!!! ZOMG lace!!!!! 8D
I think I found a picture... it's the lace at the top in the picture of the skirt, with the rose pattern ^^

Détail de dentelle

At least sewing is here to keep me from insanity :P Long live Gosurori patterns!

Woohoo! I won two old Gothic and Lolita Bibles issues on Ebay! I got them for 15$ each, which is quite expensive for a magazine, but way cheaper than Amazon (which sells them like 30$ each -_-*).
So, why am I happy for gaining old magazines? Because I'd lke to have all the G&LB, one day. I am of the people who refuses to see trends in Lolita fashion. For me, Lolita is timeless... And I want the old G&LB issues also for Mihara Mitsukazu's short stories!>.< I LOVE what she does (I bought the two mangas made by her my bookstore had, and I am looking for more ^^), and I was sad when I found she wasn't drawing for the Gothic and Lolita Bibles anymore...

Here is one of my favourite pics:

You want everything a certain way (even your coffee drinks) and you're not going to settle for anything less than exactly what you have in mind. Some people might not understand why you're so picky, but you prefer to think of it as "being specific." You're not a perfectionist -- you just have very high standards!

It sounds so yukky (as a coffee), but it sounds like me :P
My favourite coffee, actually, is expresso (but I like cappuccinos on the morning ^^)!

Exams period is kinda rushing, but I find it sweet, somehow. I stay at home all day long studying, wearing what could be considered as a Lolita capital sin (jeans and sweater), but it still feels like summer :D Let's see, I have an exam on the 17th and a paper on the fall of URSS to give, and an exam on the 18th. That's no big rush, honestly :)

After my Latin exam (the 18th), me and the rest of the group (we are four students and one teacher in this class XD) are going to eat together! So I will say goodbye to my sweetie for summer! Ok, he's not my sweetie, nor my boyfriend, but he's cute and he looks like a German soldier =3 Aaaaanywayyyy all this was to say that I feel like my life is going great, now school is almost over, and I'm happy ^^

So here is Nana Kitade with ice cream all over her face, because I would so do the same thing right now >.<

Valentine's day

Share
Kiss me

I don't like Valentine's day. Why? Because, like Christmas, everyone is crazy about it! At my job, we had our (ugly) Valentine's day decoration one month before the actual celebration! Common!!!! For me, Valentine's day is just a day where you think about love. It may sound cheesy, but I think that this day serves to remember how much you love those around you and to think about how you are satifisfied in your relations. Like this morning, my boyfriend was so sweet! (I live with my boyfriend, by the way :) ) He woke up and gave me a box of chocolate, and he told me this was the first part of my gift! Aaaaaw (honestly, I have no idea of what he bought me o_O)! I will buy him a little box of chocolate today, but on the White Day, I will buy him something bigger, maybe a book ^^!

Tonight, I will show him my new black and red underwears! They are so fancy and cuuuute!!! >.<

I love World of Warcraft, and I'm not afraid to say it.

Yeah, I know, I'm nerdy...

I don't know if it's tthe same for everyone, but playing WoW soothes me. I mean, it's so easy on the head, it's relaxing. I love waking up in the morning, have a good coffee and play WoW all day long in pyjama, which I did all the holidays (or all my vacations days in the holidays -_-*). Aaaah... good times. WoW means vacations to me!

Converses

Share
Kiss me

I hate converses, really. You know, those ugly shoes with a flat soles that EVERY emo and wannabe goth of this poor earth wears? Let's say it: they are ugly, uncomfortable and not flattering. Period. It annoys me even more when people assimilate converses as being acceptable for gothic styles. I mean, how can looking like a retarded pre-teeager searching for attention (e.g. a emo/scene kid) be gothic? Converses are emo; not gothic, not punk, and certainly not Lolita (yes, some people actually think converses fit with lolita fashion).

Aaaah... it feels good to write it down.

October 25th, 2007

I saw this page in the GLB (volume 17) and I tried to elaborate a little guide over it, just as a reminder ^^.

Gorgeous Gothic Lolita

As I said, it is a more mature ans sophisticated style (which can be compared to EGL). It is more elegant than cute, but this is still Lolita: innocence and modesty are primordial. It is also more "glamourous" than classic Lolita.

Exemples:

The dress is a good example, forget the rest.

Not really a good example...

Overall: Fluffy and light fabric are prefered to more solid fabrics and the dresses are more princess-like than doll-like. Monochrome outfits are also more popular, but this is not a rule. Longuer sleeves are also preferred to short puffy sleeves but during summer, this can be easily ignored.

Hair accessories:
Hair are usually worn down, wether it is curly or straight is your choice, and hair accessories are more discrete; veils, ribbons and flowers and preferred to alice bows and bonnets. Headresses are neutral and fit both gorgeous and classic (thought gorgeous lolitas prefer smaller or round headresses).

Make-Up: The same as classic Gothic Lolita.

Accessories: They are basically the same as classic Lolita. The only big difference is is the legs: Gorgeous Gothic Lolita always includes tights or sheer socks rather than solid socks. High-heels are a must for this look, also.
Sheer fabrics, jewelry, flowers and ribbons are the best matching accessories.

Patterns: Consider these also as examples.

The pink outfit is better.

Ignore the hair and the socks...

The cardigan is perfect to go with any Gorgeous look!
